Some recipes may contain individual commercial product names. It is the policy of CCNI not to endorse individual commercial products. The use of company or product names does not imply approval or recommendations of the products to the exclusion of others which may also be available.

Some recipes may contain food items that younger children may easily choke upon. Foods such as hot dogs, raw fruit and vegetable chunks, peanuts, peanut butter, etc. should be served appropriate to a child's age. This can prevent the food from getting lodged in a child's wind pipe.

Honey, or honey-containing foods, should not be given to children under one year of age. Honey can be contaminated with spores or clostridium botulinim, which can produce a toxin and cause severe illness or even death in infants. Older children and adults are not affected.
